Bullet proof glass: A versatile customisable security solution
by: Australian Bollards on
Bullet proof glass is a versatile security solution that can be used in a range of different scenarios.
Ballistic glass can for example be used as an anti-terrorism measure at culturally significant sites, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Earlier this year, Paris councillors voted to boost security, resulting in plans to build a wall of bullet proof glass around the tower. The work commenced this September and will offer an elegant security solution, unobtrusive to the experience of the visitors.
Sites such as government buildings, embassies and even businesses in high-risk areas could also benefit from bullet proof glass.
Bullet proof VBIED glass by Australian Glass is a versatile, customisable security solution, rated to protect against VBIED (Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices) and MPIED (Man-Portable Explosive Devices) attacks. VBIEDs usually enable large explosive devices to be detonated close to buildings, causing substantial damage to the building, whereas MPIEDs often aim for smaller targets such as night clubs and trains.
Our ballistic VBIED glass can be used to mitigate the effects of both MPIEDs and VBIEDs. It is made with layers of PVB (Polyvinyl Butrayal) between the sheets to help strengthen the glass against breakage and shattering.
We also offer other types of glass for example Extra Clear Toughened Glass, Double Glazing Glass, Laminated Toughened Glass, Fire resistant & Silk Screen Glass.
