Transitioning Toowong To Ticketless
by: Australian Bollards on
Among the hustle and bustle of Brisbane’s inner South West is Toowong Village, an iconic shopping centre which locals and tourists flock to.
Due to the massive popularity of the precinct, centre managers have been taking steps to ensure parking lot congestion is minimised with the addition of parking spot cameras, E-DS displays and a transition to ticketless parking.
Toowong Village has joint forces with NJM Group to supply and install our E-DS 55 systems at multiple parking lot entrances. The system is used to clearly display parking prices and instructions to shopping centre visitors.
These display systems can be managed over a cloud-based system giving the centre managers the convenience to change prices and display design from the comfort of any computer they have access to.
The screens can even be given touch screen functionality.
Given that some of these E-DS systems were installed outdoors, the E-DS was a great solution as the systems are IP 55 rated which means it will function perfectly rain, hail or shine.
Our E-DS screens can display live data about parking spot availability. This can save visitors driving around full parking lots by being alerted ahead of time and being told which parking lot they should go to for the best results.
While these E-DS displays are used primarily for parking assistance, our E-DS solutions can bring massive benefits to the shopping experience.
Shopping Centres can display premises maps, weather, traffic conditions, sales information and more from our E-DS systems.
We hope to work with Toowong Village and more shopping centres around to Australia in the future to give Australians a more informed parking and shopping experience through our E-DS solutions.
