Stolen Cars Used to Ram-Raid ATM
CCTV cameras caught a group of thieves on Sunday morning as they ram-raided an ATM in Bangara, NSW.
The four offenders had previously stolen a Toyota Hilux from a nearby residential property and then proceeded to ram it into the Regional Australia Bank ATM on Maitland street at 3:30 AM on Sunday.
The group then damaged the bank’s front wall and entrance with the stolen flatbed ute while two of the thieves attempted to rip the ATM from the wall, but were unsuccessful.
Detectives and forensics are currently investigating the incident, but it is unknown if the perpetraitors will be caught or exactly how much damage the business sustained.
The Importance of Bollards For Your Business
The Regional Bank in Bangara would have greatly benifited by our high-impact, energy absorbing bank bollards. Ram-raid attacks on ATMs are all too common around Australia and, at Australian Bollards, we know from experience that it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Our security solution, installed at Bank of Melbourne, provides anti ram-raid protection while also paying tribute to the bank’s architectural design. By taking preventative measures, Bank of Melbourne ensures its staff and assets are protected night and day from ram-raids.
St. George Bank also chose to install our high-impact stainless steel bollards for the same reason. Safeguarding ATMs in both shopping centes and banks, Australian Bollards provides unattended premises with 24-hour protection.
Our installations in the picture below demonstrate how committed Australian Bollards commits to providing Australian businesses with custom security solutions, which we also deliver and install.
