Smart speed humps remind drivers to slow down
by: NJM Group on
Curtin University is a front runner of implementing innovative technology to improve parking at campus.
Smart speed humps are one of their newest additions. The anti-speed activation system reminds drivers to slow down without impacting those who respect the speed limit.
Australian Bollards has developed its own version of the smart speed hump. Like the speed humps at Curtin University, our product increases efficiency without compromising on safety.
Australian Bollards’ smart speed humps solve many of the disadvantages with traditional speed humps.
Traditional speed humps force drivers to go well below the speed limit to safely travel over the bump. They cause more noise, discomfort and inconvenience, and require more petrol as cars break and accelerate.
All these problems are solved by the smart speed hump. Sensors determine the vehicle’s speed and activate the bump if the driver exceeds the speed limit.
This means anyone travelling at an appropriate speed will not be affected by the speed hump. Emergency vehicles can also travel over the hump at high speeds without the hump being activated.
Australian Bollards is proud to introduce new and smarter automated solutions to improve the road experience for all. We believe our smart speed humps will help improve safety and the experience for drivers.
