Rural liquor store ram raided
by: Australian Bollards on
Two thieves have used a what-seems-to-be-stolen ute as a tool to smash the entrance of a Koo Wee Rup liquor store, in Melbourne’s southeast in the early hours of the Friday morning.
Two masked-men stole cigarette lighters and two tills full of cash; albeit failed to break into a cigarette cabinet using their bare hands.
The men entered with no tools when the ram raid occurred. The car used in the crime; which can easily be distinct, having black and white number plates, is similar to that of a Ford Ranger with a front bull bar, snorkel and steel tray at the back.
To help prevent future ram-raids, bollards can provide the ideal solution.
We supply bollards specifically designed to provide ram-raids which come in a wide range of materials, sizes and functionality.
Earlier this year we have done installations at Blackburn North and Watervale shopping centres after both those centres were ram-raided.
Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the incident; is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
