Today marks the 101st anniversary since the inaugural Remembrance Day on November 11th 1918 which signalled an end to World War I after four years of conflict.
At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of every year, we commemorate and pay our respects to all who have fallen fighting to protect our nation Australia uphold our rights to freedom and to the many who continue to fight to keep us safe.
At 11am this morning, a minutes silence was conducted as a sign of respect and honour to Australia's servicemen and servicewomen who have given up their lives so that we can continue to live our own in peace.
We will remember them - Lest we forget.
