Australian Bollards are proud to announce the recent installation of the EDS-43 in the newly opened Prahran Square and Prahran Market car parks in the City of Stonnington.
Now officially named Prahran Square, the recent $55 million re-development began in January 2018, and was designed by Lyon Architecture and Aspects Studios.
Kane Constructions was awarded the ‘once in a generation’ opportunity to help deliver the new 10,000 square-metered multi-functional urban parkland sitting with 500 car parking spaces.
The new and exciting re-development provides an open space needed for events, festivals, recreation and markets, servicing the surrounding Chapel and Greville street Precincts.
The car parks feature a SKIDATA ticketing machine that provides reliable and future-safe technology including barrier gates, parking columns, tickets, POS and automatic payment machines.
In case you are unaware, the impressive EDS-43 (Electronic Display Solutions) has a sleek, clean-cut design system that contains a 43” LCD display screen with a working life of about 50,000 hours.
Designed for PGI (Parking Guidance information) systems, they can also function as a VMS (Variable Message Sign).
The Inbuilt PGI provides real time information within a controlled space, while the strategically placed VMS enables an effective management system of a wider network system.
The Prahran Square and Prahran Market car parks have used our EDS-43 system to display their casual car park rates and operating hours.
Not only does the EDS-43 provide easily accessible information displays, but our system also accommodates for road work, accident and traffic jam warnings, as well as being used to advertise or display instructional videos.
Some of our previous installations include Harbour Town in Docklands, Toowong Village Shopping Centre, Crown Casino, Torquay Village Shopping Centre, Etihad Stadium, Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and at The Como Melbourne on Chapel Street.
