NJM Group for Caribbean Business Park
by: NJM Group Marketing on
The NJM Group has worked closely with the Caribbean Business Park for many years, through our range of subsidiary businesses like Australian Bollards, Australian Handrails, Australian Glass and Ned Kelly Bike Racks. Through each stage of its construction process the NJM Group has been on site installing our range of products; architecturally designed balustrades and handrails, customised light bollards, Ned Kelly 2000 bike racks, and a range of other security solutions including wheel stops, card readers, security and parking bollards, height bars, intercoms and ramp guard rails.
The Spooner family has owned the park for three generations, starting with 300 acres of land in 1945 and now currently comprising of over 280,000 square metres of buildings and parklands. The Spooner family transformed the area with the utmost care and consideration. Their vision for the park is a balanced community of work and lifestyle, highlighting a healthy and inspiring environment. The CBP is a major hub for businesses, the largest office precinct outside of Melbourne’s CBD, with well-established blue-chip business tenants such as; Wesfarmers, Target, AGFA, Hallmark, Russell Athletic, Penguin Random House Books, and Thermo Fisher to name just a few.
Centred around Caribbean Lake, the site includes a large amount of parklands, an 80-acre lake, with sustainable landscaping that reuses rainwater throughout the activities of the park and over 20,000 trees planted in an effort to keep environmentally conscious. Throughout the park there are; business buildings, a fresh produce market, cafes, a childcare centre, a gym, Wi-Fi areas around the park, solar power, electric charging stations and the Hyatt Place hotel. The Caribbean Business Park has notably received a 5 Star Greenstar Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) and received the 2018 Innovation and Excellence Award.
The Caribbean Business Park is exceptionally designed with sleek, modern features, which we have complemented with our architecturally engineered handrails, balustrades and glass. Our products are custom made to seamlessly blend with the environment, whilst providing the highest level of protection. The balustrades we’ve installed come in a combination of glass and perforated metal.
Our glass balustrades compliment the elegance and professionalism of the Caribbean Business Park. All of Australian Glass' range of glass balustrades and handrails are manufactured in accordance with the current Australian Glass and Glazing Standards 1288 which were formed in 2006. The transparent glass is also tempered making it five times as strong as ordinary safety glass and is 12mm (0.47 inches) thick.
Our customised Light Bollards can be seen surrounding the plantation of the Park. These bollards provide an aesthetically pleasing element of light in the social areas of the park. With decorative patterns, the light shines through providing a calm and serene atmosphere. Stainless steel Security Bollards have also been placed around the area, in the car park protecting Disabled Car Park Spaces. Both the stainless steel Security Bollards and the Light Bollards have the Caribbean Business Park emblem on the top of them. A perfect example of how the NJM Group provides customised products for our clients.
At the Caribbean Business Park, we have also installed our car park safety measures; parking bollards, guard rails, card readers, height bars, intercoms and Ned Kelly bike racks. These products are part of our Car park package which provide asset protection. Our height bar installation provides with it an intercom, card reader and boom barrier for safe passage.
The recent installation of W Beam Guard Fences and Rails to loading docks and ramps in the business park is another example of how the NJM Group and Australian Bollards can provide security services for businesses large and small. These rails provide a clear boundary at the edges of the ramps, keeping forklifts and other vehicles from accidentally falling off. With the guard rails in place, the ramp is more strongly delineated from the rest of the loading dock, making it a safer place. The guard rails also include a handrail to improve convenience for pedestrians walking up and down the ramps.
We have both concrete and recycled wheel stops installed at the park. All of Australian Bollards' range of wheel stops comply with the current Australian Road Safety Standards 2890.1 which were formed in 2004 making it the front runner when it comes to parking requirements. Our recycled wheel stops are constructed from recycled rubber and are 100% durable against the elements.
For those wishing to dock their bicycles after or during work, our Ned Kelly 2000 bike rack range provides a clean and clear space to park your bike. These wall mounted bike racks provide space to safely access your bike.
As the Caribbean Business Park continues to grow and prosper, the NJM Group continuously offers our support and hope to work with the group again in the near future, providing high quality Australian products. We hope to see our proposal of an Uber Air platform at the park, cementing the Caribbean Business Park as the leading business hub in Victoria.
