Malcolm Turnbull’s Train of Thought
Malcolm Turnbull has a vision for Melbourne which will see large employment hubs connected by a state-of-the-art train development initiative.
The idea behind the train development initiative is one with significant merit behind it, connecting Australians with employment opportunity and in turn boosting our economy.
Train station development of recent times has been impressive to say the least. Australian Handrails, an important division of the NJM Group, has been a part of the up and coming Mernda Rail extension.
With state-of-the-art features such as elevated platforms, bike stations and adequate parking, the project will see a significant reduction of road traffic and an increase in employment opportunities for those living in areas such as South Morang.
Paul Fletcher, Cities Minister has suggested that train lines connected to areas such as Melbourne Airport and Clayton will boost an already existing employment hub. With the prospect of an increase in opportunities, increased transport for Melbournians will assist in coping with living conditions.
Monash is the second biggest employment hub not including the CBD. This could benefit significantly with the introduction of railway systems connected to the area.
Malcolm Turnbull has been a significant advocate of having heavy rail developments in Australia and has mentioned that the great cities in the world are those with Metro-style rail systems.
NJM is happy to assist these major projects and to maintain Melbourne’s prestigious title of being the most liveable city in the world.
As seen recently, Australian Handrails has played a major part in construction of stations such as Hawkstowe Station, Bentleigh Station, Southern Cross Station and many more.
With the installation of handrails, balustrades, staircases, ramps and more throughout these stations, we are excited at the prospect of being able to work on many more similar projects in the future.
Being involved in such projects allows NJM Group to build a legacy which will be enjoyed by many generations to come.
