Exhibiting bollards at Melbourne Museum
by: Australian Bollards on
Nestled between the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, the Melbourne Museum is a building bursting with science and history.
Australian Bollards is proud to hold a great relationship with the Melbourne Museum and to have our products protecting another Iconic Melbourne venue. This comes after recent installations at The Shrine of Remembrance, Flinders Lane and the Crown Casino.
And while all installations are important in their own right, the importance of aesthetic perfection is paramount when creating an addition to a world heritage listed site so we had to go the extra mile.
We custom built some stainless steel bollards to provide the perfect size, shape and finish for the picturesque surroundings.
Taking a closer look at the installation reveals the intricacies of the bollard design.
It will come as a surprise for most looking at the bollard that it is actually removable as it appears the bollard is stuck in the ground. The design achieves this look and functionality without anything sticking out around the bollard’s base.
We think these bollards are so good they should be exhibited inside the museum.
