Event Bollards would improve public safety on Anzac Day
by: Australian Bollards on
Bollards have been deployed for Anzac Day celebrations in Sydney amongst other security measures.
NSW Counter Terrorism Minister David Elliot says the bollards are in place to make people feel safe. He believes Anzac Day should be a time when everyone should be able to feel safe to go to areas where they will commemorate.
Australian Bollards agree with the importance of protecting Anzac Day commemorators. Tens of thousands of people are going to partake all over Sydney, and it’s essential to make sure they are safe.
The bollards are part of a trial to increase public safety, but installing bollards exclusively for temporary events can be a challenge, as most conventional bollards take too long to deploy and install and can’t easily be removed again.
That’s why Australian Bollards offer Event Bollards that are designed specifically for events. They can be deployed and installed at a moment’s notice by our expert in-house team. The sheer weight is enough to stop a vehicle at speed, so there’s no need to mount them in the ground. And after the event, our team will simply pick up the bollards and remove them from the site again.
Our Event Bollards are a total leasing solution for public safety, suitable for national holidays such as Anzac Day, or for any other type of event such as sports games, markets or concerts.
We have two designs: Rustic concrete blocks or sleek granite spheres. Both blend into the environment without drawing attention to them. It’s also possible to cover them with your own designs. Our Event Bollards at Luna Park is a great example of that.
We also deployed our Event Bollards at Bendigo Easter Festival, an annual event that attracts thousands of visitors over the course of an extended weekend, as well as Point Cook Pop Up Park which turned an entire street into a pedestrian area facilitating an open-air cinema, exhibitions, art, yoga, food and music. And all of it took place safely behind our Event Bollards.
We hope major events across Australia will consider Event Bollards as a public safety measure. If you would like to know more about what we have to offer, please call us on (03) 9459 3488 or visit our website www.eventbollards.com.au.
