A community that’s famous for its arts and culture, the Frankston Arts Centre (FAC), located 60 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, is helping others increase their access opportunities to help promote mental health and well-being through the use of arts.
Designed by famous Australian Architect, Daryl Jackson, as one of the largest outer metropolitan art venues in Australia, the Frankston Arts Centre was established in 1995 and opened by then Prime Minister, Paul Keating as a unique art and performance centre.
Each year, the venue attracts 250,000 visitors and offers arts opportunities for all abilities, live theatre performances, disability access, education pathways, specialised workshops, and Auslan interpretation within the community.
If you’re a local visitor, you will be happy to know that recently, Australian Bollards has had the pleasure of working with the Frankston Arts Centre to install the E-DS 43 Car Park Variable Rate Board inside their car park.
The E-DS 43 features an inbuilt computer that can be used as a Variable Message System to efficiently deliver road information to road users.
The cloud-based software enables owners of the E-DS 43 to change displayed parking prices from an office computer, with a working life of about 50,000 hours.
This unique design contains a built-in IP camera, as well as an edge to edge thickness of just 12cm.
From simple texts to graphical displays, the E-DS is a great way to communicate useful information for drivers who frequently visit the Frankston Arts Centre.
The EDS Variable Message System (VMS) is a feature that can further advantage road users, as it is enabled to deliver a variety of information, with an option to either wish drivers leaving the car park a great day or payment request options.
Our E-DS screen has a Parking Guidance & Information System (PGI) that provides drivers with dynamic information on parking within controlled areas.
As displayed, Frankston Arts Centre has used our E-DS 43 screen to display their car park hours and hourly ticket rates.
You can enter the car park from Young Street, with daily opening hours from 7:00am to 1:30am.
