Driver crashes into Christmas shoppers near Rundle Mall
by: Australian Bollards on
A man crashed his car into four women near Rundle Mall as he tried to turn right into Rundle Street in Adelaide’s CBD just after 4pm on Saturday.
The man is known to the police and has recently finished serving time in jail. He has been charged with two counts of causing serious harm by dangerous driving. More driving charges are expected to follow.
Police said they are not treating the crash as a deliberate act but that reckless driving played a factor.
Accidents like this could be prevented with our Soft Approach to Hard Security bollard range. By installing bollards along the pavement, traffic and pedestrians would be separated, keeping people safe from terrorists and reckless drivers alike.
We specialise in aesthetically pleasing high impact VBIED bollards such as planters, granite spheres, benches and lights. Our bollards aren’t just a security solution, but also a decoration.
One of our recent installations is a row of dark granite heavy duty spheres at Chadstone Shopping Centre. They are there to protect, but the elegant design also compliments the shopping centre’s exterior.
We have many designs available that would suit areas like Adelaide CBD, and we can also provide customised solutions.
