Clear Ballistic Glass - Safety you can see.

When you think of France a few images come to mind, the most prevalent is the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel tower began construction in 1887 and took two years to complete, being over 324 meters tall and weighing over 10,100 tonnes. This French attraction gets an average 7 million visitors from tourist and native Parisians every year, supporting the French economy. Parisians first didn’t know how to feel about the construction, however over the last 132 years it has become a staple in the scenery and highly admired by the world around.
This makes the current events of surrounding the Eiffel tower in Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) VBIED Ballistic Glass and steel fencing in 2018 a decision that split the community again, just as much as the construction of the tower originally did. Due to the events that have passed is the last four years, where people have died due to terrorist attacks it became apparent to government bodies that highly trafficked areas, especially tourist destinations should be better protected. This introduces the installation of concrete bollards, temporary barriers and increased security.
Eventually the SETE, the company that owns and operates the Eiffel tower decided that a more permanent solution was needed, and this was the Ballistic glass fence that now covers half of the Eiffel tower grounds and the steel fence that covers the last half. This ballistic glass is over 10 feet tall and 2 inches thick.
