Peace and Public Safety this Anzac Day

On Anzac Day we commemorate and honour those who have fought to protect Australia. It is important that we remember those who came before us and celebrate with veterans and families of these soldiers, upholding the Australian spirit of federation. The remembrance service is held all over Australia and New Zealand, a National Day for honouring and being mindful of the peace we are so lucky to have. Many of the cities across Australia and New Zealand are very multicultural; providing diversity, exciting combinations of culture, food and traditions. Australians and New Zealanders  ...read more

If you’re going to see a much-anticipated movie, such as the latest animated film, the latest horror film or the latest Marvel film you’ll be glad to know that VBIED (Vehicle Borne Im  ...read more

SecureCloak - Preventing tomorrows thefts, today

In 2017 Victoria was named Australia’s car theft capital with over 15,000 cars stolen, on average more than 40 per day. This accounted for almost 30% of Australia’s car thefts that year. Burglars are becoming bolder and more driven to succeed in their criminal activities. Even though these events aren’t as frequent as they used to be, they still tend be a part of everyday life. Imagine you are the owner of the Mercedes Benz dealership in Toorak. In the showroom you have several cars on display with a combined value of hu  ...read more

Time To Slow Down

The most dangerous thing on the road is a reckless driver, one who doesn’t follow the speed limit and endangers other drivers around. Even though there are methods and devices put in place by our government to deter and prevent such drivers from speeding like speed cameras, traffic lights and school zone times, there is still much to do in terms of safety on our roads. Victoria’s road toll last year was the lowest it has been since 2013 but in 2019 it has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. The tally sits at 90 fatalities as of April 9th, 32 more than this time l  ...read more

The Rising Shield of the Centurion

Australian Bollards is now offering the Centurion Road Blocker as a solution for Hostile Vehicle Mitigation. This heavy-duty security device has been crash-tested using a 6.8-ton truck going at 80kph, remaining intact and operational after the impact. The surface-mounted road blocker is another great innovation to bring the utility of a retractable HVM device with the convenience of avoiding a deep excavation process. Unlike sliding bollards, the Centurion Road Blocker does not have anything sticking out while it is retracted, making it blend in more with the environment. Whe  ...read more

Ramping it up at Caribbean Business Park

The NJM Group has done a variety of installations at Caribbean Business Park before. Our latest project has been the addition of W beam guard rails to a pair of loading ramps. These rails provide a clear boundary at the edges of the ramps, keeping forklifts and other vehicles from accidentally falling off. With the guard rails in place, the ramp is more strongly delineated from the rest of the loading dock, making it a safer place. The guard rails also include a handrail to improve convenience for pedestrians walking up and down the ramps. The NJM Group is proud to p  ...read more

Modern Steel Designs for Frankston Station

Australian Bollards has recently installed several custom-manufactured steel gates at Frankston railway station. We have also installed bump rails to protect the large windows of a sheltered area. The pedestrian gates are designed for access control, allowing the station to be closed off at night. In addition to indicating when the trains are not running, the gates also add to the modern aesthetic of the station. The sheltered building is a great place to hide from the weather while waiting for a train, and the full-length windows offer a great view of the rest of the sta  ...read more
