Burnside Shopping Centre: the latest ram-raid victim
by: Australian Bollards on
A group of thieves stole an ATM in an overnight ram-raid at Burnside Shopping Centre.
Unfortunately for centre managers, ram-raids have occurred on multiple occasions at the centre.
With the ever-growing crime rate in Victoria, we need to protect our shopping precincts and public spaces now more than ever.
Australian Bollards can install and custom-make bollards to protect shop front while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing look for the building.
Our bollards have been effective an effective preventative tool at shopping precincts such as Coles Patterson Lakes, Pakington Shopping Centre, Scoresby’s Aldi Store and many more.
The bollards installed at these locations are heavy duty, intended for high impact collisions to prevent occurrences like ram-raids and VBIED attacks.
These bollards can come in a selection of materials and finishes, to provide a soft approach to hard security while also blending in or being a feature for the environment it is in.
Another ram-raid was reported on July 1st by the Cockburn Police via their twitter account.
The raid was at Hamilton Hill Shopping Plaza where a stolen car was recovered and the offender was put into custody.
With majority of these raids happening overnight, there is a pressing need for bollards to protect the front of our shopping centres.
