Australian Bollards – Medownick Installs DDA Compliant Parking Barrier
by: NJM Group Marketing on
Australian Bollards recently installed a DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant access control system (AB-DBA-900) at Medownick Laser Eye Clinic in Richmond, Victoria. Parking barrier systems are installed as a solution to be able to control the entry of authorised and unauthorised personnel. The access control system installed at Medownick is remote-controlled but these barriers can also be operated by bluetooth, card reader systems and can be integrated with any parking ticketing system.
Our boom gates come in a galvanised, powder coated, steel and on request we can include articulated flexible arm installation for application in low height locations such as basement car parks, residential apartment buildings, shopping centres and multi-level car parks. It is these aspects that make the boom gate barrier system the perfect access control solution for small business buildings such as Medownick Laser Eye Clinic.
The Disability Discrimination Act was introduced in 1992 to help protect people with a disability, in terms of employment and education. To make sure that we comply with the Disability Discrimination Act, the AB-DBA-900 can include a very visible warning safety beacon lighting system, which makes the barrier easily visible, especially in the dark. The barrier also comes with a beacon siren, which makes it easy to hear for everyone around the barrier while it is in use. It has a secure and strong magnetic lock and hold – protection, making it able to withhold any strong force that tries to break through it.
Australians Bollards boom gate system is a strong solution for access control in and out of business buildings. We look forward to helping protect your business.
